Mega Star Distribution sells networking, connectivity and test equipment to the people who install and maintain it — integrators, IT departments, field service teams, contractors and serious builders across the United States and Canada.
We keep the catalogue deliberately narrow. 7 departments, 29 makers, and nothing outside that. We would rather know our range properly than list a hundred thousand items nobody here has ever handled.
How we work
Most people arrive here with a problem rather than a part number: a building with a dead corner, a site that cannot afford to go offline, a fault that a cheap meter is reading wrong. The equipment is the answer to that problem, not the point in itself.
So the catalogue is organised around those problems. Each department has a note explaining what actually decides the choice — why a mesh kit's backhaul matters more than its advertised speed, why a modem's category tells you more than the "5G" badge, why an averaging multimeter quietly misreads most modern loads. Our buying guides go further into the three questions we get asked most.
When you call, you get someone who can talk about the gear. If your problem is capacity rather than range, we will tell you that mesh will not fix it, even though mesh is the more expensive sale. That has cost us orders. It has also brought a lot of people back.
Everything moves through our warehouse at 282 Revere Ave, Bronx, NY. Stocked items dispatch in 1–2 business days with UPS, FedEx, USPS, and delivery is free over $149.
Items marked available to order are brought in on the lead time shown on the product page. We publish those lead times because a distributor that promises everything immediately is either sitting on a great deal of dead stock or is not being straight with you.
What we hold to
Every item we list is sourced through legitimate supply for that brand. We do not sell refurbished stock as new, we do not relabel, and we do not list parts we cannot actually get.
Most of our catalogue is marked "available to order" with a real lead time, because that is the truth. A page that claims same-day dispatch on everything is telling you what you want to hear.
We would rather talk you out of the wrong purchase than process a return. If a cheaper part does the job, we will say so.
We handle warranty claims with the manufacturer on your behalf. You bought from us, so you deal with us.
