What it is like here

We are a specialist distributor, which means everyone here handles the gear and everyone talks to customers. There is no script. When somebody calls with a building that has a dead corner, the person who answers is expected to actually work out whether the problem is range or capacity — and to say so even when the honest answer is the cheaper sale.

Practically, that means:

• A narrow catalogue you can genuinely learn: Mega Star carries seven departments, not seventy.
• Time to learn it. New people spend their first weeks on the products before they are on the phone alone.
• Small-team latitude. If something in how we work is stupid, say so and we will change it.
• Warehouse and office in one building, so nobody is insulated from what actually ships.

It also means the things a small company genuinely cannot offer: there is no large training department, no deep bench to cover you, and everyone occasionally packs boxes when a big order lands. We would rather you knew that before applying than after.

Rather than leave placeholder listings up, we keep this page honest: when a role opens it will be posted here with the salary range, the hours and what the job actually involves. If you would like to hear when that happens, send us a note and we will keep it on file.

The roles we recruit for when we grow are typically:

• Technical sales advisor — the person on the phone working out what a customer needs. Networking or RF background helps far more than a sales background.
• Warehouse and dispatch — goods in, picking, packing, returns. Careful hands and an eye for a damaged retail box.
• Purchasing — supplier relationships, lead times, keeping the published availability honest.

Nothing listed?

Speculative applications are genuinely welcome, particularly from people with hands-on experience in networking, cellular, RF or electrical test. We have hired from unsolicited emails before.

Tell us what you have worked on rather than sending a generic cover letter. "I ran the Wi-Fi for a 300-room hotel and here is what went wrong" is worth more to us than any list of adjectives.

How to apply

Email sales@megastardistribution.com with "Careers" in the subject line, a CV or a short summary of your background, and a paragraph on what you would want to work on. No formatting requirements and no application portal.

We read everything and reply either way, usually within two weeks. If we want to take it further it is a phone conversation first, then a visit to the warehouse so you can see the place and meet the people before deciding.
